 NewOnline Scheduling is now available for the MAT

The MAT is a high-level test of analytical ability that requires the solution of problems stated as analogies, A:B :: C:D . The MAT consists of partial analogies that are to be completed in 60 minutes.

The MAT is available in a computer-based format. The computer-based format (CBT) contains 120 items and will provide the candidate with an unofficial score report at the end of the test session.

The MAT is intended to measure your ability to recognize relationships between ideas, your fluency in the English language, and your general knowledge of the humanities, natural sciences, mathematics, and social sciences. There is no foreign-language edition of the MAT. You are not permitted to use a dictionary or any other reference aid when taking the MAT.

The MAT is offered at the University of Oregon Testing Office by appointment. The fee for the MAT is $80.00.
