The University of Oregon Testing Office serves as an official test site for the General Educational Development Certificate, the GED. The GED offers the individual without a high school diploma a "second chance" at earning a high school equivalency certificate. Successful completion of the GED can enhance a person's employability as well as qualify them for admissions to Community College, University or other post-secondary educational programs.
The GED consists of 5 tests; Writing, Social Studies, Sciences, Reading Literature and Mathematics. Testing is also available in Spanish. Hablamos espanol. Our fee for GED testing is $80.00.
Currently our GED testing program is limited to working with the University of Oregon High School Equivalency Program and local Alternative Education/Options programs. Others interested in earning the GED will need to contact the Lane Community College Testing Office, 541-463-5324.
GED sample test questions
Individuals who have earned a GED, either through our center or another center in the state of Oregon, and who are looking for copies of their official transcript or a replacement GED certificate will need to contact the GED Program Office in Salem.
