Lane Transit District (LTD) has trip planning tools and real-time bus information to help you schedule your visit.

Parking
Please pay attention to all parking signs and review UO parking policies prior to your arrival. You may receive parking tickets if you do not comply.
Visit the Transportation Services website for all parking options. They have one-day visitor permits available to purchase online as well as maps of the campus parking options. One-day visitor permits may be cheaper than hourly parking if you are taking a longer test.
The closest parking options to the Knight Library include:
- Parking meters on Kincaid St. — Operated by the City of Eugene
- Parking Lot 16A - B West — UO zonal parking – Visitor Permits available online
- Parking Lot 20 — UO parking meters
City Parking Meters
The City of Eugene has hourly parking along Kincaid St., neighboring side streets, and along University St. in the center of campus. The meters on Kincaid have a max time limit of three hours. You may use the pay station on Kincaid St. near the covered bike racks or you may use the city’s parking app. Eugene also has longer hourly parking meters a few blocks south on E. 18th Ave.
If you need more than three hours for your appointment, we recommend the city’s parking app. The app allows you to renew your parking from inside the library which helps when exams do not allow you to leave the building.
If you have a very long exam, we recommend purchasing a one-day permit from the Transportation Services Website and parking on campus instead. This is often cheaper than an hourly meter.
UO Zonal Parking Lots
The parking lots on the UO campus are separated into zones. The Transportation Services website has detailed campus parking rules, general information, and parking maps. When you have a permit, you may park in any unmarked space within your zone or a space in a lower-priced zone. For example, an A Central permit can park in any B or C lot, but NOT in any other A lot. Check signage to ensure you are parking in the correct lot for your purchased permit.
If you purchase a visitor permit, we recommend parking in B West (Lot 16A or Lot 42) or B South (Lot 17, Lot 18, and Lot 40).
Zone A Central also has spaces on University St. which are not far from Knight Library.
You can purchase one-day visitor permits ahead of time on the UO Parking Portal.
University Hourly Parking Lots
The university has hourly pay-to-park areas located around campus that offer longer parking limits than many city meters. Payment can be made at conveniently located kiosks which accept credit cards and cash. Please remember your license plate before leaving your vehicle!
More information about hourly parking on campus can be found on the transportation website.
Parking Lot 20 is the closest university hourly parking location. It is located south of the Knight Library. You can only get to this parking lot from East 18th Ave. Turn north into Lot 22 next to Berwick Hall. Pass through the first small parking lot and take a short road that runs along the Pioneer Cemetery. The road ends and turns left into Parking Lot 20. There is a payment kiosk at the front of the lot.
