Students who are not satisfied with their course placement may retake the assessment. To improve your score, use the prep and learning modules. The modules are individualized, and they help you practice what you need to know. Spending time working through the prep and learning module will help you refresh and review topics that you may have forgotten. You have access to the Prep and Learning modules for up to six months.
When working with the Prep and Learning module, you will encounter regular knowledge checks. The knowledge check will give feedback on what you have remembered and what you need more help with. Topics you master will be removed from the Prep and Learning module. Topics you still need help with will be added back to the Prep and Learning module.
Students may take the test a total of five times. After the second attempt, students are required to spend a minimum of three hours working in the ALEKS Prep and Learning modules. Students will be able to retake the assessment only after they have completed the required time with the Prep and Learning modules. The Prep and Learning modules are available when the student logs into ALEKS.
